A Russian native with smaller-than-normal leaves, slow-growing, and shiny brown bark on older trees. It is pest-free and exceptionally hardy. As it gets older, its white flowers (racemes) stand erect above the compound leaves. The above-ground roots are SPECTACULAR for bonsai.

These are "pre-bonsai" trees that are in preparation for bonsai. They are in nursery growing pots instead of traditional bonsai pots.
