Growing wild in the island of Inauga, Bahamas, the branches shoot out long and straight. The small leaves, when mashed between fingers, exude a delightful, spicy-citrus aroma. The smaller, sweet fragrant white flowers are closely set in groups on branches. The even smaller fruit develops in tiny bead-like clusters. The bark quickly acquires an “old” look and displays the above-ground roots with strong character. This flowering and fruiting bonsai likes lots of water in the soil and on the leaves.
